Hi All - It's coming up on Christmas time, and Rapid Creek Cycles likes to repair and tune up bikes to donate to kids. Do you have a bike that is sitting unused? It could go to someone who will probably thoroughly enjoy it. Think of giving the gift of a bike to a kid on Christmas. What might a gift like that have meant to you as a kid?
We take in bikes that we can repair and refurb, to donate. We include a new helmet as well. Please bring in your used bikes to the shop if you'd like to take part. Please no rust monsters that have been sitting beside the garage for years - those don't usually work out very well. If a bike is basically sound, we will tune it up, make sure things are as they need to be, and pass it on. All sizes are of use, including adult bikes.
This is one way we can be a positive part of our community. Re-use, re-cycle!
Thanks, and spread the word to your local friends. We're happy to see these bikes come in through ~Dec 15.
Do you enjoy trails?
If you do, and I bet you do, then today is the day to donate to COPMOBA. No kidding, do it now.
COPMOBA is all volunteer, except for our coordinator. All the people involved give their time, energy, creativity, and commitment to making and taking care of these trails. It's a lot of sitting in meetings, planning, making work days happen, coordinating things, working to raise money, etcetera .... This is what it takes to have trails in our home towns, and around western Colorado. PLease, help out, pitch in, donate a bit and make a difference.
.... Please donate to COPMOBA today.
Palisade's Olde Fashioned Christmas begins this evening at 5pm! If you want to ride your bike along with us in the Parade of Lights, meet us at the fire station (341 West Seventh Street) at 5:15pm. Parade starts at 5:30.
Welcome to Olde Fashioned Christmas 2018. The whole town will be decorating and planning for an experience that will take you out of the hustle and bustle to enjoy holiday magic with all the sights, sounds, tastes and easy shopping. Visitors will find holiday shopping a pleasure with the combination...
It's that time of year for seasonal trail closures on some (not ALL) of the trails in our region. The winter is a critical time for wildlife, and we need to respect that in our trail use. See below for a list of trails that COPMOBA is associated with, but note that there are similar closures in many areas around the state. Pleaes look for closure information on any trails that you use between Dec 1 and May 1 (typically).
Be a responsible trail user, and help care for our wildlife. Their lives depend on it.
